Went in recently for dinner on a Monday evening, the restaurant was quiet so there was plenty of seating and the food was made quickly and arrived hot and fresh. Reasonably priced and a good atmosphere.

June 2025 Update. Not been for a while put last night I came back with a few friends, when we first walked in I thought it was a little strange that there wasn't many people in there but I put it down to the weather being hot. It looks like they've had a change around in staff and the girl who served us had very little English and was struggling to understand what we were ordering. I understand that people need to be trained, but she shouldn't have been left on her own, somebody should have been with her helping. There was a long delay before the food came out even though there was only four 6 people in the restaurant. They brought the naan breads and chips first, I'm by the time they brought the curry out, the number of and chips were called. Two of our group had chicken tikka masala, both said it was the worst chicken tikka masala they've ever had it was very runny with no flavour. We shared a family mixed grill and the food was dry, the fish pakora was hard and the naan bread were burnt. One of the staff was very rude when we told them the chips and naan bread had gone cold while waiting for the curries, and all she replied was "ok". We also heard other people complaining about the food and two other people were waiting for the manager. I will not be coming back for a long time. ************************************************* Friendly staff, nice food, reasonably priced, always making sure that you have everything you need, very clean and constantly wiping the tables down

I came here for the first time for Mother’s Day meal. I have to say I was very impressed with the service. The food was very nice and quick. Good value for money. Restaurant was very clean. The only downside was the toilet was the letdown, I think this does need addressing because both male and female toilets were both dirty. I understand it’s a busy restaurant but standards has to be met too.

After reading other reviews I had mixed feelings, but... After going there (Monday late afternoon) I was really impressed. OK service could be better. I was waiting for someone to come and collect an order but then I realised that you actually have to go to the counter and order. However food was really good and large portion. If I could change something in the food - Could be more spicy. It arrived really warm, so no complain. Prices are reasonable.

What a gem of a place! The Yew Tree Restaurant in Birmingham has such a warm, welcoming vibe - it feels like you're stepping into a cozy hug. The food is absolutely delicious, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. It’s the kind of place you want to keep coming back to, whether for a quiet meal or a special celebration. I’d happily eat here anytime; a true hidden treasure with charm and heart.
